By registering for the International Yakult Symposium, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Symposium photos
Please note that photographs will be taken during the symposium. These may be used in our website and other communication media related to the event. We do not intend to photograph you directly but rather groups (unless you are a speaker or a special guest), but if you wouldn’t like to be in the photos, please inform the symposium staff at the registration desk when you are asked for consent.

Payment
The payment can be made by Mollie/ iDeal or credit card. If you have any problem with the payment, please contact info@yakultsymposium.com. Please note the registration can only be completed when the payment for the registration is done. If the payment is not received prior to the conference date, admission to the conference will be refused.

Student registration
Students should have a valid student ID at the time of the symposium in order to be eligible for student registration. Student ID number and the expiry date are required at the online registration, and students will be asked to show their student ID at the registration desk on-site.

Cancellation and substitution
Registration cancellation deadline is Sunday 8th September 2024, and it must be notified in writing via e-mail to info@yakultsymposium.com. Cancellations before and on 8th September 2024 will be refunded deducting administration cost of €25. There will be no refunds for cancellations notified after this deadline.

Substitution of registrations may be made up to 3 days before the first day of the symposium without charge. Please send your request at latest by 7th October 2024 to info@yakultsymposium.com setting out the name of the delegate of the original registration as well as the full name of the substitute, occupation, organisation and contact information. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate substitute’s differing requirements, such as dietary, from the original registration if such changes have been notified after Sunday 8th September 2024. Occupational status of the substitute should match the original registration type, and it is not possible to change the registration type. We may reject any unsuitable delegates at our absolute discretion.

Discretion of Yakult
Yakult reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to either accept or refuse your registration request. Yakult may at its sole discretion suspend the symposium or change the date and/or venue of the symposium for any reason. In such case Yakult will notify registered participants in a timely manner and offer registered participants the option of attending any rearranged event that Yakult chooses to organise (acting at its sole discretion). If you promptly notify Yakult in writing before the date of the event that you do not wish to attend the rearranged event or if Yakult chooses not to rearrange the event then you will (as your sole remedy) be entitled to receive a refund in respect of your fees paid to Yakult.

Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable to the other in respect of any non-performance of its obligations by reason of any force majeure event (act of God, civil war or strife, hostilities, terrorism, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disputes or actions, breakdown of facilities, legal enactment, governmental order or regulation, epidemic, pandemic or other natural disaster or any other cause) beyond their respective control.

Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, Yakult excludes: (a) all liability for loss, injury or damage to persons or property at the symposium; (b) all indemnities, warranties, representations, terms and conditions (whether express or implied); and (c) any actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss howsoever arising suffered by a registered participant, or any loss of profits, anticipated profits, savings, loss of business revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any other type of economic loss (whether direct or indirect). If Yakult is liable to you for any reason, Yakult’s total liability is limited to the amount of your fees received by Yakult.

Applicable law
These terms shall be governed by Dutch law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.

Registration will be closed once we reach the maximum number of the participants.
