Dr Caroline Childs RNutr is Associate Professor at the University of Southampton, with responsibilities including Nutrition and Metabolism subject lead for undergraduate Medicine and as Deputy Academic Lead of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility in the Faculty of Medicine.
Her research includes the effects of dietary fatty acids, probiotics, prebiotics and antioxidants upon the immune system.
Dr Childs’ experimental approaches have encompassed assessment of tissue composition, immune function, inflammatory status and immunosenescence.
